Students from North Carolina State University College of Design visited OLIN for an inside look and a chance to experience a few of OLIN’s Philadelphia projects up close. “I could lecture for weeks on spatial connectivity, strategies for organizing elements, et cetera,” said group leader Carla Delcambre, a Professor of Landscape Architecture at NCSU, “but I believe our students gain a better understanding of these complicated systems by being in the landscape, not just in the classroom.”

After visiting our studio, OLIN Associate Peter Stegner, Landscape Architect Ben Monette, and Senior Landscape Designer Will Belcher guided students through Independence National Historical Park, the recently completed Lenfest Plaza at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and the soon-to-be redesigned Dilworth Plaza, discussing how projects go from concept to reality.
