New Additions to the Studio
OLIN welcomes back two former interns as landscape designers to the studio: Brian McVeigh (left) and Michael Miller (right).

Brian McVeigh’s design interests focus on the intersection of art and ecology, as well as developing new landscape typologies through re-conceptualizing current and future infrastructure with emergent ecological models. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from The Ohio State University’s Knowlton School of Architecture, where he served as Vice President of the University’s Student Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects. Upon graduation, he was awarded a Student Honor Award from the Ohio chapter of the ASLA, in recognition of academic excellence. His professional experience includes a summer internship at OLIN, during which he was on the design team for the Yale University North Campus Streetscape project. Since rejoining OLIN, his current project work includes Syracuse Connective Corridor in Syracuse, New York.

Michael Miller’s interests include large scale systems of landscape infrastructure, and integrating research on public uses of landscapes into the design practice. He received his Master of Landscape Architecture and Master of City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania School of Design, where he was awarded the Eleanore T. Widenmeyer Prize in Landscape and Urbanism. During his time at UPenn, Michael built a strong portfolio of experience from internships at O2 Planning and Design, Hargreaves Associates and OLIN. Since returning to our studio, he has worked on various projects, including the University of Chicago’s Milton Friedman Institute and a master plan for a mixed-use development on the island of Maritius.
