SARA ALTMAN / Landscape Designer
Sara brings her interest in horticulture and the detailed design of planting palettes to her work at OLIN. Her experience in designing gardens for residences enables her to create places that are beautiful as a whole, yet provide unique, defined and intimate experiences. She also enjoys the adaptability of landscape, and how a designer can preserve a place’s identity while introducing new programming elements. She holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Virginia, a Landscape Design Certificate from George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy from Georgetown University.

JENNIFER JONES / Landscape Designer
Jennifer originally joined OLIN as an intern last summer and has now returned to the studio as a Landscape Designer. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia, with Master’s degrees in both Landscape Architecture and Urban and Environmental Planning. She is passionate about youth education, having taught middle school science in Oakland, CA as a Teach for America Corps member, prior to her career in landscape architecture. While at UVA, she served as a teaching assistant to undergraduates in the Environmental Thought and Practice Program, and also as a teacher to gifted middle school students for a UVA-sponsored summer enrichment program entitled “The Science of Sustainable Cities.”

ANNABELLE HERNÁNDEZ / Senior Landscape Designer
Annabelle found her passion for landscape architecture while teaching building architecture in Puerto Rico. Her students’ interest in landscape and horticulture inspired her to return to the University of Pennsylvania (where she had originally earned her Master of Architecture degree) to receive a Master of Landscape Architecture. She is particularly interested in the specific cultures that define landscapes and cities—how they are relevant to the people who use them, and evolve over time. She is also fascinated with the experiential value of textures and materials and how they can stimulate multiple senses of sight, smell and touch within landscapes.

WILLIAM BELCHER / Senior Landscape Designer
Will has a strong background in international work, having designed for multiple projects and winning competition entries in countries such as China, Croatia, Italy, and Curaçao. After receiving a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture with honors from Virginia Tech’s Landscape Architecture Program, he worked as an Architectural Intern and then a Project Manager. He has returned twice to his alma mater as a guest lecturer. While at Virginia Tech, he won both the Student Honor and Student Merit Awards from the Virginia Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects, and both the Faculty Book Award and Stanley Abbot Award from Virginia Tech for his thesis entitled “Improvisations of Space.”

MEG RUSHING COFFEE / Senior Landscape Architect, RLA
Meg is particularly interested in landscapes that are reflective of their contexts, surrounding communities, culture, and history. She first found her way to design upon earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art History from Texas A&M University, through which she initially sought to design museum exhibits. When she returned to school to study building architecture, she discovered the field of landscape architecture and learned how the design of open spaces can impact communities. She ultimately earned her Master of Landscape Architecture from Louisiana State University and has been practicing in the field for ten years.
