Associate, Co-coordinator OLIN Labs
Julie is an urban planner and designer with broad knowledge of physical and policy planning across scales. Throughout her career, Julie has become especially knowledgeable and skilled in creating and leading equitable community engagement processes, with the goal of overcoming systemic inequities through wealth building and leadership development. Julie co-leads OLIN Labs, where she has spearheaded the development of OLIN’s Climate Action Plan, and has created tools and educational resources for community engagement. Through her nearly 20 years of design and leadership experience, Julie also brings a strong emphasis on sustainability and resiliency planning, leading and contributing to OLIN’s Pocomoke Sound Corridor Resiliency Plan, the Lancaster Parks and Trails Master Plan, and the Delaware Waterfront Resiliency Plan.
In addition to practice, Julie has also taught numerous graduate level courses at the University of Pennsylvania Weitzman School of Design, in both City and Regional Planning and in Historic Preservation Departments, since 2014. She is heavily involved in the Philadelphia community, having served on numerous boards and organizations.
