Pier 26 at Hudson River Park a Finalist in ULI's 2022 Awards for Excellence in Development

The Urban Land Institute New York (ULI New York)recently recognized 18 projects as finalists for the 2022 Awards for Excellence in Development, including Pier 26 at Hudson River Park in the Excellence in Civic Development category.

The winners of the awards will be presented at the Seventh Annual Awards for Excellence in Development Gala on November 2, 2022, at Cipriani South Street.

The awards recognize exceptional development projects in the private, public and nonprofit sectors across New York State that best exemplify ULI’s commitment to shape the future of the built environment for transformative impact in communities worldwide. ULI New York’s prestigious Awards for Excellence in Development recognize the full development process of a project, including architecture and design, and are noted for being reflective of best-in-class development.

Willis Tower Transformation by Gensler features landscapes by OLIN

Luring office workers back to downtown high-rises after more than two years of working from home during the Covid pandemic can be challenging. But employers in the revamped Willis (formerly Sears) Tower have a leg up, thanks to a half-billion-dollar makeover by Gensler that upgrades the iconic supertall’s appeal, to tenants and visitors alike, while transforming its relationship to the surrounding streets in Chicago’s Loop. The reimagination of the ground levels enabled OLIN to design a vibrant streetscape, atrium, and roof park that is an amenity for people who work in the building but also nearby residents.

US Embassy in London Wins a 2022 AIA Architecture Award

The American Institute of Architects has selected the US Embassy in London as a recipient of the 2022 Architecture Award, one of the most significant design awards for completed works of architecture.

The embassy is a Kieran Timberlake and OLIN collaboration that through its architecture, represents the country’s ideals of transparency, openness, and equality while highlighting the best of American design and engineering and fostering a strong sense of identity that melds with stringent security requirements.
